Pat testing?

Hi, We are in the process of doing our risk assesment for the house. Can anyone tell me if we need to have the electrical appliances we will be using during minding hours PAT tested. Do we need a certificate?

My fiancé knows someone at work that is qualified to do it but only puts the stickers on things. Where as at my previous Nursery we had a certificate aswell as the stickers.
