URGEN....ADVICE PLEASE

Hi

OK on my certificate is states I may care for no more than 5 children under 8 years, not more than 2 maybe in the early years group and of these not more than 1 may be under 1.

So does that mean that because I have a daughter who is one, at any one time I can only mind one other children between 0-5? or is my daughter not counted?

I have had an enquiry for an urgent one day mind for a 21 mth old and 3 year old next week as other child minder let her down. I guess becaue that would make 3 under 5 (incl my daughter) i would have to say no?

She is calling me back in a while because I just missed the call!

HELP...I have tried ofsted but all the lines are busy and I couldnt wait!

Your daughter wouldn't be included in the numbers on your certificate, so aswell as having your daughter you can have another two under 5 years of age, so you would be able to look after both of the children you have enquiries on.

The number of children on your certificate is in addition to your own children so you are fine to take 2 under 5 on too. Good luck!

I'd agree with the 2 under 5 plus your own. our own children dont go on cert but cert reflects thier presence.

Ah, i wondered how it worked whether our own was on the certificates. Now i know for the future, fingers crossed i can do.
