start to finish for me was 14 weeks from my initial inspection to receiving my cert xxx

Sent Papers in on 1st October they came out for pre-reg inspection on 8th October and got my Certificate on 9th January - so 3 months 'on the nose'

Hi Emma,

I recently registered and it took me from 30 November 2007 to 21 January 2008 (7 1/2 weeks) which was quite quick especially as it was over the christmas period. maybe you will be as lucky.

I think it took about 3 months from my pre reg visit to recieving my certificate.

It was suggested to me that once I'd had my pre reg check I should ring Ofsted regularly (not every day, haha!) to see where my application was up to, apparently they're pretty good at letting things just sit there when they could be moving :D

Took me 12 months from my first information evening!!! Have to say reading the other posts that is not normal for England but we do work differently in Wales. Where I live you had to attend and pass your ICP before you could send in your application form. With this you have to send in all your policies, prospectus and permission forms you intend to use. They then send off your CRB and wait for that to come back before looking at your application form and deciding if they are going to come and see you!!!

Now you can see why I racked up a fair few hundred posts before I got registered.
