Hi all, ive just gone to change my plans over from decembe t heme christmas to january Theme Winter and discovered i dont have a short term plan. Does anyone have any ideas for a winter theme please? Also when is chinese new year? and does anyone have a multicultural calender for 2009 please? Thanks

Thanks guys. does anyone know where i can get information about the chinese new year and why it is celebrated etc in a way that children would understand? Thanks in advance

i am struggling to think of 2 more things i can do to cover PSED AND CLL for the chinese new year. any ideas anyone please?

Silly question but what dates does everyone cover for the chinese new year? do you start on the actual 26th for 2 weeks or do you start a week ahead (19th) for 2 weeks?

hi derby minder

Dont take this as right but ive down my planning for chinese new year i put down making chinese new year cards for CLL, signing it with their name in chinese writing.

And PSED I put down talking about chinese new year, what it means, I found stories on activity village, I think the link was posted below.

Hi i have got a few ideas from activityvillage but just stuck on 2 more things for PSED and CLL. I have already got talk about chinese new year. I could get the children to write their names in chinese if i can find out how myself lol. so just need one more. Thanks for all your help :)

Thought this might be a good idea for todays weather


Materials Needed:White and blue construction paper ... glue sticks ... scissors ... gold glitter glue.

Instructions: Trace around child's hand on white construction paper. Cut out six handprints and glue in a circle on a sheet of blue construction paper. Cut three small circles out of blue construction paper and glue on to snowflake. Apply gold glitter glue and blot off extra with paper towel.

Hi activity village have ox spoon puppets to make this would cover CLL and easy to make!
