I'm just starting with two girls, sisters 6 and 8 two days a week after school.
I don't have anything as my daughter is 16 months.
I want to try and get a box together of bits and pieces which they can go into and decide things to do.
I know they loving drawing, colouring, crafts and cooking, but is there anything else, or something a bit different, that may not be thinking of.

Thats just what I was going to say as well. Hama beads are great and you can now get different sized ones as i have bought the bigger ones for the 3-4 year olds.

Sorry that was brief, had to go stir the mince!

A box with scraps of ribbon, paper, stickers, etc for picture and card making.

Beads to make necklaces.

Play dough or even better that modelling clay that either air dries or you bake in the oven.

You already have one great toy for them, your daughter! They will love helping out with her and playing with her (hopefully!).

A computer with broadband... a selection of 'safe' websites ready for her to use and a very good protector... I use K9, free from www.download.com
