since having a conversation with the mum with regards to the nearly one year old winging all day to be picked up, she has been doing the controlled crying...

This boy has changed, the mum even says he is a totally different boy!!!

He now sleeps 2 hours solid during the day and sleeps through the night!!! normally cat naps during day and wakes all night for breast milk, he also seems happier when with me, and he doesnt winge as much with her.

Hes not AS demanding when with me, AND he has got alot quieter with his noise level !

He also for the first time, used his hands to wind them together to the song "wind the bobbin up" so he is taking notice of whats going around him too.

Just thought i would update and lets keep our fingers crossed that this continues, oh how my life would be so relaxing and normal again!! lets hope the New Year brings, fun and peace!! (well peace from winging) x x merry christmas x

Sounds as though you have a good working relationship with the parent. That's definately the key to success with a difficult or challeging child.

Glad it is working out so well, for everyone's sake :)

So glad that's working out for you.

I think it must make all the difference when the parent works with you.
