50p breakfast & lunch each
£1 dinner

i will provide free snacks and drink (fruit/biscuit/milk)

Mine are too but I do my shopping altogether so trying to break it down per meal also my accounts package has a meal calculater so need to put the prices in that way!!

I charge exactly the same as the primary school (just gone up to 1.80) for a hot meal and pudding. I don't charge for snacks or for extras like ice creams or if we eat out when on an outing as that is easier for me than taking a picnic and there isn't always somewhere you can eat one. I don't think I make any profit on that as I don't skimp on food or have anything I wouldn't want to eat myself. I think if it costs the school that when they are making hundreds of portions it would be impossible for me to do it cheaper.


Oh and I do let parents send their own packed lunch if they like, but so far they have given up after a short time as the kids want to have what mine do.

I charge £1.00 for breakfast (I think - can't remember the last time I charged for a breakfast!), £1.25 for lunch and £1.50 for tea/evening meal.

I charge £1.50 per meal & £1 for snacks...local primary charges £1.80 for lunch & 50p for a piece of fruit at break, as they are subsidised i think my prices are mor than fair!!!!:)

I charge £1 for pre school age and £2 for school age children. I use decent quality food and as much fruit as they want . Snacks and drinks not charged for. Just put older price up as I was spending so much on food - 8 -10 year olds can be like a bottomless pit, some eat an adult size portion. :laughing:

Don't do breakfasts really at the moment but give one mindee toast and fruit if they are running late and not had time for much breakfast. haven't charged for that.

Some bring packed lunches but usually change as they get older as it's one less job for parents to do before work. :)

I don't charge for snacks or drinks but I do charge for meals.

I charge 75p for breakfast

£1.00 for lunch

£1.50 for tea, although my parent who I supply tea for insists on paying me £2.00 a day as it's easier to get out the bank.

Snacks and drinks and few extra "goody" treats are included in teh fee price but I charge lunch at £1 and dinner (hot meal with pud) at £1.20.

The local schools are £1.80 per meal so I think I am fair. Portions are generous, its good quality ingredients, 99% of the time fresh cooked from scratch.

I include meals, snacks and drinks in my fees and make no differences for special diets.

Occasionally parents choose to provide meals for a variety of reasons but I dont discount their fee.

If a parent requests the food within the bill I add the relevant cost above to my rate.

I charge £1 for breakfast, £1.30 sandwich lunch and £2.50 for tea.

I charged £2.50 for tea as I really didnt want to provide it for anyone. I like teatime with just my family at 5.30pm once the mindees have gone.

So far, only I has breakfast and lunch. The others come having had breakfast already and bring a packed lunch. Luckily the parents all feel the same as me about tea and they all have it at home.

All drinks and snacks are included in my hourly rate though.

i include snacks etc in my fees,

but charge £1.00 for breakfast ( and £1.50 to a 12 yr old who eats several bowls of cereal, plus toast! )

lunch is £1.50, hot cooked tea is £2.50 ( i don't do a cold tea ). if all meals are being had with me, then i charge £3.50/day.

when i started minding, we were advised to charge whatever it would cost you to go to macdonalds and buy a happy meal! (not that i have taken minded children to macdonalds! maybe once or twice, if that! in 6 yrs)

Mine are included in my weekly fee but if any new children start in the new year i am going to charge £2 per day for all meals, food is so expensive :(
