not sure if anyone will know, but...

next year for 4 weeks (last 2 weeks of school, first 2 weeks of summer hols)
i have 2 children staying with me from Belarus

can i still work as a childminder?? do i need to inform Ofsted?? they'll be under 16
should i take it off unpaid?? long time without wages!!
do i need permission from parents??

as long as you are within your numbers i think its fine. You could always ring ofsted and inform them and see what they say

well they will be over 6 years and most probably over 8 years

might offer to do 2 weeks insted of the 4 and take 2 weeks off

I think it will be a fabulous experience for the children you are minding. You'll be able to include the visitors in your activities and they'll get to meet lots of children to play with.

You'll be able to do a project for the minded children before the visitors come, learning about the country etc. Ofsted will love it. Use it as a positive experience for all.

Just remember to keep within your numbers, if they are over 8's you shouldn't have a problem, just remember your maximum numbers for insurance.

i had 3 children here from sweden last year on an exchange visit
i had no problem whatsoever
