As I understand it, when you know you're going to be inspected you have to tell parents and ask if they want to make any comments.... Is there any paperwork to givve the parents for this?

You need to tell them that you are having an inspection and it is good practice to ask them to do a questionaire for the inspector.

Good luck! :D

you used to get something like that but now ofsted give you much less notice and so there isn't time to get feedback from parents. Though if parents arrive whilst ofsted are there then they will be asked.

What kind of questions would you ask on the questionairre?

I just typed a letter to my families when I had my inspection to let them know.

They'd only recently completed questionnaires so I didn't have to do that bit again.

parents dont seem to like filling in questionnares well mine dont!
and id be luck to get /yes/no answers and no real comments or feedback we have a chat at pick up time so if i was to make notes of what parents may have said and keep in my evaluation file ?? >>>its better than nothing (i hope ) lol

My parents actively dislike 'home work'. Getting anything back, be it a questionair or an update on the 'I am me' books is like getting blood from a stone. Ive been known to stand in front of the door saying do it now then you can leave LOL

I have attached a form that I used in 2005 that needs updating and then the Evaluation Report that I gave the parents.

Very basic but Ofsted liked them.

Hope they help.
