I am so pleased with our Christmas fireplace, I got it from SS Trading and its proving to be a lovely place to display our Christmas crafts, a change from our usual flat display boards. :)

The candy canes were really good fine motor activity, threading the beads onto the pipe cleaners was quite tricky for little fingers.

What a great idea, it looks really good.

I am running a bit late and have only just taken down our autumn display in readiness for the christmas stuff, it looks really bare. Kids have painted some santa hats today and tomorrow we will stick cotton wool balls on for his beard. I have been so busy doing NVQ stuff everything is behind.

Its not that cheap but I did also use it on a recent Brownie pack holiday as our theme was christmas, so I shared the cost with them. :)

I used clear and red tri beads (hobby craft do them) and you simple thread them onto a pipe cleaner. You can also use green beads iwth the odd coloured bead, make into a circle and you have a Christmas wreath.
