Hi

I had my yearly boiler check the end of october [i think] and they suggested [heavily] to get a carbon monoxide detector.

Do you all have one and where would be the best place to get one?

thanks in advance

Yes, I strongly strongly advise (urge) you to get one.
ebay, and most high street shops now sell them.

Mine came from B&Q as well.

WAtch out - the cheaper ones need replacing more frequently so they're not always the best option :D

My fil is a blumber and STRONGLY recommends them, says they are just as important as smoke detectors, I got mine from Lloyds pharmacy for £12.50 (half price)

I don't have one as I don't have anything in my house that could create it. However some good FAQs here

We haven't got one yet, just waiting to finish the decorating before we put one up. We've just had a new boiler and fire so we know they are safe

We've seen one in B&Q for £35 that we are going to get.

I have a carbon monoxide detector. I bought mine from Focus - itis a Fire Angel and pretty good, not that it has ever gone off yet - but it looks very reliable. I think it was around £30 to £40.

Same as Tatia, got mine from British Gas which was all very well until battery ran out and it was sealed in and you could not replace it!!
so got another one from B&Q were you can just replace the battery

I originally got mine from Lloyds Chemist when they had them reduced.

I was in Robert Dyas the other day and noticed they have got their battery operated one on offer at the moment....

I think it was around £14.00
