View Full Version : Dont think Mum is going to turn up UPDATE she came!

23-01-2008, 11:42 AM
Hi all,

I was meant to have a Mum with her 1 year old visit at 12.30pm for some temp cover for 3 months. We have been exchanging emails for a few weeks about it and last week she asked for my telephone number saying she would call early this week to confirm time and get my address.

I havent heard from her :( I have her number so have rung and left a message and also text her but I havent heard anything back.

I am really surprised as Mum seemed very together in the emails and was asking lots of questions etc.

Its annoying as I have spent most of the morning trying to work a way out to fit all these enquiries in but if this one doesnt come I dont need to bother.

Sorry Debbie

maybe she changed her mind - maybe she forgot - maybe something came up - maybe she is ill - maybe child is ill
Maybe her internet is down and she can not get your contact details up- I had that happen once !

A whole load of questions

You can only really wait and hope she does contact you again Debbie

Have a good day

She did come!

She rang full of apologies.

She and baby were lovely. She is looking at some nurseries too but I am the only childminder. She said it will be between me and the nursery as she liked me and was happy with my setting, etc.

I thought it would be temp but she said she doesnt want to keep moving baby around so she would be signing a permanent 4 day a week contract!

I think the meeting went ok, have got to wait until end of next week to find out if she wants me or not.

Im hoping so too!

If the 3 mums I am seeing this week all sign up, I will be full for under 5, how exciting!

Although even if only 1 signs I will be happy. :)

Next visit is with Mum, Dad and their 10 month old on Friday tea-time. Hopefully they will make a decision quicker!
