Space per child?

when it states 3.5meter squared for under 2 and 2.5 for 2 year olds and 2.3 for 3 up. Is that floor space for just my living room, as i dont have dining room. Bathrooms and toilets and kitchens not included ( even tho we eat and will have messy play in there) Living room is 6meters by 4metres. My garden is 60ft by 22ft. Is that included?

Or if i include sons bedroom and daughers, (for sleeping) will that meen more?

It's the space you use for entertaining the children ... when they are playing.

It does not include kitchens, toilets, hallways (I don't think unless they are huge and you use them for toys) and upstairs.
