I left my purse at a playgroup this am, didn't realise until I got home. By the time I could have walked back it would have been shut so I called on my emergency contact to stay home with my mindee whilst I got a lift back to the playgroup in all I was out for 10mins. The parents know my emergency contact & have met her & I did try to call mum to let her know but mobile switched off. Should I fill out an incident form or just let mum know later - or not tell her at all? Good job it wasn't a life or death issue since I couldn't reach mum:(

I would fill an incident form out and get mum to initial or sign it to say that you have told her about it.

It doesn't seem like much but if you get reported you have dotted your i and crossed your t's

As above... you should also inform OFSTED & your insurance company...just incase a complaint or claim is made at a later date.:)
