Hi everyone,

Just wondered if anyone had a risk assessment for going to the library and soft play area that they could give some ideas on.

Much appreciated

RISK ASSESSMENT LOCAL LIBRARY

ISSUE HOW TO MANAGE IT
HAZARD (to whom and likelihood) What procedures will be in place
Transport and Road Safety * I will walk with the children either in pushchair or holding hands
* We will follow the green cross code
Behaviour * I talk to the children before we leave the house about road safety and behaviour in the library
* If any child is sick I have my mobile telephone with me to contact parents etc

Library * I will make a visual inspection of the library
*Toilet facilities are available
* I will check for the fire escape doors

I was told on my course EYFS and the Ofsted process that you don't need risk assessments for these places because they have their own. Had my inspection yesterday and mentioned this to the inspector and she was in agreement. Also the same with any groups you go to.
