That looks fine to me. I take it you're hoping for snow in week 3 LOL or are you going to use shaving foam, soap flakes, cotton wool (or something else) to make your snowmen.

Haha we shall have to work that one out when we come to it.
Ive just added the childrens next steps to plan from this months obs as id forgot so i now have things like mix red and green paint, teach children how to fasten coats when going outside and build a tower with duplo and count how high. which is all the childrens next steps. Hope this is right

I can't see why not. You will no doubt be trying to accomodate some of the children's next steps within the planned activities, but also through all your unplanned, spontaneous and child led activities that you will be doing at the same time.

FAB plans well done ive seen the format b4 and i have a simular template to work with but was hoping i could find a box for ILP,
its finding the format that works for each of us and so we dont have to repeat and have tones of paperwork,

i use to do plans on my PC and every month delete it and fill in for next mth so no paper and pen work. BUT it also ment no everdance that i had plans!!

everdance for who?.....>>>>>Mrs O. lol

well done you have worked hard xx

Great short term plans. Thanks for sharing.
Not sure you really need to do medium term plans as they are making more paperwork for you and really just repeat what is in short term ones. This is just my idea so if you feel able to do it... well done.
I am trying to see where I can cut down as the general feedback in our area from Ofsted is we do too much paperwrk!!
Often all the plans go into thin air when we are following the child's interests anyway:)

im getting a little confused with my planning. Would it be ok to scrap the medium term plans as really its just the short term plans repeating themselves? I can make my long term plan into a medium one i.e 12 months and a theme for each month which i may cover? Thankyou

I have a long term plan for the year, then short term... group themed planning and individual planning for about a week each.

This is a really good planning thread...

I have only just picked this up and it is a great example.

Personally I would do away with the Med Term Planning and just have Long and Short Term as things change so quickly.

Keep at it - it looks great

Thankyou, i have definatley decided to do away with medium term planning as i think its just extra work and ofsted may think im doing to much x
