Being positive that my postcards will receive enquiries I'm thinking of creating a list/form of things to ask when they first phone. I was thinking of

NAME

NAME OF CHILD

AGE OF CHILD

ALLERGIES/SPECIAL NEEDS ( can we ask this without being antidiscriminatory)

WHEN THEY ARE LOOKING TO START

Is there anything else? Plus was going to tell them

VACANCIES

WHEN IM AVAILABLE TO WORK/HOURS

COST PER HOUR

HOLIDAYS

anything else?

I keep it simple on the phone, I prefer to ask mostquestions face to face.

I normally ask age of child and what hours they are looking for. If it is a school age child, I check what school the pick up is to make sure I can do it, then I invite them over for a chat. Obviously I will answer any other wuestions they have on the phone!

I always ask names and telephone number incase they decide not to turn up then you can contact them!

I keep it simple to, what hours they're after, age of child, which nursery/school they attend. I will offer further info if asked but I need to know the basic, the rest is dicussed at a meeting, you never really know who your talking to. I always ask the name of the child as well
