Hi i have my inspection next week but i also have a new mindee starting next week do you think it will be ok if i spend most of the day just letting them play so that the child can settle get to know the environment and my dd and myself and us get to know them.

Absolutely!
That is good practice ... the other thing to do to wow the inspector is to find out what the child likes doing from parents and have things in place ready, to show how you plan for the child's current interests and knowledge.

thanks sarah thats a good idea they only live a few doors away aswel the lo's only 12 months old
