..do you file them in each child's confidential file or do you keep them in the NCMA accident folder?
At first I was putting them in the child's confidential file, but lately I have been leaving them in the book, where is best to put them?

I leave mine in the folder aswell. That way ofsted can see them on inspections & they are all there in order :)

In the child's file.
My Ofsted inspector (who came today) was fine with this.

My accident file is locked away as well, so I suppose it really doesn't matter. Thanks all xx

i don't use the NCMA one print my own on the computer and then file in child's personal folder in filing cabinet. I also have a log which states date, time it happened, number of accident form and chil's initials. This can then be shown to Ofsted, assessor's, etc to show and if asked I could find the appropriate form in the right child's folder.
This was suggested to me by Ofsted inspector at my very first inspection so that I could show there were none missing, maintain confidentiality, etc (sorry not explaining very well as up early thanks to a neighbours house alarm going off constantly)

I take mine out of the ncma folder and put them in the childs folder because of confidentiality. I also do the same with medicine forms. I know then that they are locked safely away and when the child moves on all their paperwork is together.
I don't think there is a right or wrong way, whatever suits.
