Parnet has just dropped off mindee saying he has a temperature but have given him calpol and will be ok now and he is ok in himself anyway. This happened a few weeks ago and then a few days later my own son had a raging temperature (but over weekend and was better by the monday) Do you accept kids who are ok because are calpoled up but if they were not would be poorly? I am too week to say anything!

I think it depends on the history. if the child is teething then yes but if he has been ill over the weekend, the calpol could be masking something and I would ask for more details.

Don't be shy in asking, be assertive. If you don't it could backfire on you and you or yours could be sick and then you are off work - no pay!

I would want to know more detail too. My dd gets temps often but its due to ear problems so wont cause anyone else any problems as shes happy in herself with calpol.

Is the child old enough to ask what they did over the weekend?
