i am looking to see if anyone eles that deals with the care commison is having the same problems ?in this small area we have noticed that it depends on what officer you have what notice you get for your inspection and if you get 1 or 2 officers .we are also noticed that the grades are different aswell depends on the offficer .if we could get more imformstion on this then the scottish childminding asso would take it further at the moment they agree there is large difference but thats all they are saying .

I have heard that aswell. I was given 24 hours notice and only had 1 officer for the inspection and was given a grade 4 - good . Was told that she doesnt give out 5's or 6's on the first new type inspection. The officer was here for 3 hours and must say she was really nice.

Have heard of others having 2 officers visit and spend the whole day with them

I had about a weeks notice of my inspection and only one care commission officer. I think initially they were inspecting in two's while they were getting to grips with the new grading system. I was graded 5, very good, & my officer told me she hadn't graded anyone 6's as that meant they had no room to improve!
