Went shopping this afternoon in Asda, got home about 5.00, couldn't find my handbag.

Phoned Asda and they said a colleague had found it and was going to deliver it back to me at home. Bless her she did aswell.

I think I was very lucky she found it, apparently I had left it in the trolley. I parked around the side of the building and when we left the store it was dark so I was more concerned with getting the shopping and my dd in the car quickly as there were no lights. I still can't believe I did something so stupid but am very grateful to that lady.

How kind of her - it's nice to know there's some good people around.

At least you can sleep tonight now and not have to worry.

That is the sort of thing I would do!
Once I drove all the way to Tescos, approx. 9 miles, parked, got my then small daughter out of the car, grabbed a trolley, walked in and then realised I had forgotten my purse!! :o
I put it down to the fact that we are constantly multi-tasking and sometimes our brains have to go into melt-down!! :)

Good news!
I once left two bags of shopping hanging on the front of a trolley after loading up the boot with everything else. I parked the trolley in the trolley park, got my £1 coin and drove home. It wasn't until I got home and unpacked everything that I realised. I kept thinking things like 'where's the teabags? and what's happened to my chicken!?' Eventually I checked my receipt and in total I'd left £30 of goods behind. Thankfully it was all waiting for me at customer services........Thank you to whoever returned it. ....but how daft did I feel!

Gosh you are so lucky - it all helps to refresh your faith in the human race though doesn't it - Its so easy to do though when you have 101 things on your mind at once. Often forget to lock the car when I bring all the children back from the school run in the afternoon. My mind is on so much (tea, snack, homework, nappy changing, keeping child with aspergers busy, ensuring lo's dont annoy him, my childrens afterschool activities, parents arriving early etc etc etc.

How lucky was that? Bet you can't believe it!! There are lots of honest people about though - a lady left a £10 note on the self-serve checkouts in Asda a few weeks age, I could have so easily just picked it up and kept it but I called after her and gave it to her - I couldn't have slept if I hadn't!!
