Hi there, im hoping someone can give me some advice on what to put in my reply letter to parents giving me 4 weeks notice. so far i have written:-

Dear M,

R.E: Termination of contract for...........................

I confirm that I have received your letter on the above date (todays date) confirming my 4 weeks notice of the termination of our contract and agree that my last working day will be Friday 28th November.

It is your responsibility to inform tax credits that I am no longer looking after your children and to inform them of a change in childcare.

I have enjoyed looking after your children, and wish them lots of happiness in their new childcare setting.

Yours sincerely

Leanne W

It sounds good, but I have never written one, so others may be able to advise you if you need to write anything else.

About what I'd write!

I would add tax credits phone number so there is no room for misunderstanding :D

It looks good but I would also tell parents that tax credits do check up so she must inform them

ive added this line from the bcma policies:- however I reserve the right to make contact with them if I feel that parents are intentionally defrauding this benefit.

and one last thing is this the correct number that the parents will need for tax credits - 0845 300 3900

thanks so much for your help, u've been great
