Well decorated the lounge for halloween and we were having our party today because I had the largest amount of kids today. Bought them little prizes, pumpkin ready to hollow out with the best design from the children, etc etc and.......................... 3 of them have cancelled. So one mindee today.
Think I will postpone until tomorrow when I have 2 mindees and get my friend to bring her children round.

Planning! Blah!!!!

Typical isn't when you put in all that hard work.

Last year I only had 1 mindee at the time but still planned a party and decorated the living room for him and my 2 for his mom to turn up early, I wouldn't mind but she knew it was happening. I felt like why do I bother:rolleyes:

I'm sure you'll all have fun tomorrow

We had our party yesterday as I've now got 2 days off. I invited all my term-time only children so there was 7 in total (didn't invite the babies) and it was brill, very noisy but they all had great fun.

I thought about it but then thought that they are school hols only and she has paid me for today but 1 is sick and she has kept them all at home with her so that numbed the pain somewhat.

You mean you don't have the planning in place for alternative planning due to parents cancelling and spoiling your plans? tut, tut:panic: ..........er, me neither!   Do we need a policy on that?:D

I was only having two mindees to-day (none tomorrow so made other plans for myself), one cancelled to-day and one wants tomorrow after all now. Mind you the one who cancelled to-day said she was thinking of me tomorrow because she wouldn't bring him as he had kept being sick and didn't want to pass it on, makes a change for someone to think of us for a change doesn't it.

Cracking up with the shock of it all, forgot to say had a party planned for the children but the one I had to-day didn't want to do anything except his own thing so my arrangements were a waste of time, but then I could observe the other one doing child led activities.:clapping: :clapping:

We are having a very small party. My 3 boys and a 14 month old little girl. Had another cancellation this morning. One up all night with teeth, another with an ear infection so his 2 siblings arent comng either. On top of that parent forgot to authorise vouchers so I wont get paid in time to get my Euro's for Barcelona on Friday. :(
