Hi all!

What do you think of happyland stuff? I went in elc today and it looked great but its so over priced

I wanted to get somthing like this for minding - do you think its any good or do you have something better??

They had 20% off in it in elc but its still pricey. Plus they won't let you use your card in the sale!

I have loads of it. Started getting it for my eldest when he was about 2 - he is now 11. Yes its expensive but it does last and gets played with over and over in this house. We have so much. as people but it for my 3 for birthdays/Xmas, its now in 2 large toy boxes.

What did you buy first Annie? Can you recommend a good starter pack of it?

Look in the second hand ads in the paper. It's something that lasts for ages and people get rid when their children out grow it.
All mine is second hand, it cleans well and is quite robust.

Me and the kids love happy land!

Have a look on ebay, they have loads of items on there.

Every day our happy land stuff comes out, even my 8 yr old was playing with it today.

Its hardwearing and will last forever.

I now have 2 large boxes full of the stuff.

My dd loves Happyland toys. She plays with the Fire Station ALL the time! The Happyland people are used every day too. It's expensive but well used in this house.

My lot love it aswell. We bought the station shed, farm, play park, firestation, carnival and loads of little extras like the caravan with the campers and tent.

We've had it for about 4years now and its still like new and gets played with every day

i like the happyland stuff, my dd currently has some at my mothers house!

i have the fisherprice little people sets as thats what dd & ds were given when they were little ... i have boxes and boxes of the stuff! but if i didn't have it, i would get the happyland sets. it seems robust and masses of play value.

all my afterschoolers love the small world play, and set up large compiclated 'scenes' and stories, which the little ones then carry on with the next day!

My mindees love it. I managed to buy nearly £250 worth for £95 on Ebay. Worth every penny. Mindees range from 2 - 8 years. I even caught my 14 year old daughter playing with it with the little ones!!!
Keep an eye out on ebay and in local papers.

The trouble is I am fed up with putting loads of track together to then have it thrown around living room (I mind a lo who is mad on Thomas the tank and track)

I fancyed this http://www.elc.co.uk/toy/happyland-ready-to-play-village-set/

Trouble is you can't be too fussy with e bay :D

I have lots as well and they are brilliant very solid. Had them for my oldest and my baby started playing with them when she was 8 months. She absolutely loves them! You have tempted me so much, I'm off to ebay and netmums to check if there are any around!!

Check netmums as well, there are always some on there.
