Hello, I've been childminding for about 9 months now, and am currently studying the OU E123 and E124. I am looking at TMA03 for the E123, and realised i do not have a policy for 'Partnership with Parents' (I have policies for absolutely everything else!!), . Can any one help please. Is there a standard format I could use, or a website someone could direct me to for a copy of a policy. Many thanks in advance for any help!!

Just curious but as you said you are fairly new to childminding did you do NVQ3 before you started on E123 & E124?

hello amanda, I did the level 3 NVQ CCLD last year, completed it in November 2007. I also did (at the same time) the full Diploma in homebased childcare. It was hard going, but I really do enjoy studying at home, and find it relaxing sitting down in the evenings studying. Some people may think im mad, but its my way of relaxing.

many thanks for the link to the policy - i will check it now.

NCMA have policies to download on their website. Adapt them to suit your setting though

I've done that essay as well... I used a quote from the Peal project, which I linked in with how OU says parents should be partners in a child's learning...

Hope it helps! x :D
