I had an idea!

I used to work for a dentist before minding.

Well I wondered wether to see if I could advertise myself in there to help look after children whilst they are having there dental treatment done.

I thought for people requiring more than a 2 hour appointment it may help them.

Mentioned it yesterday to 2 of the nurses, 1 thought it was a good idea, the other thought people wouldnt pay for it due to the current financial climate.

Now Im not sure wether to mention it to the dentist (who ive know for about 15 years) or not? Dont want to make myself look stupid.

I agree with the others - I think its a great idea. A friend and I have been trying to organise a circle of minders who will do ad-hoc care of this nature. I think childminders are really underused in this capacity, and as the others said - it could very well lead to more permenant work Good luck! :thumbsup:

I think its a fab idea!! I used to work in a dentists too and I know lots of patients who had a hard time finishing treatment because they had kids in tow.

Gotta be worth a try, you have nothing to lose:)
