....how is this done. I do have lots of my boys toys that they no longer play with which have now been bought downstairs to the toy room for the mindees to play with.
How do I go about selling back to myself? Really don't understand how this works so step by step guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Just get a receipt book and write out a list of what you are buying and a price and sign it

It is that easy

Think what you would sell them for if you put them in a car boot sale.

Look on Ebay at completed listings to get an idea maybe?

I've just gone through my toy room and have listed 4 A4 pages worth of toys that belonged to my boys but are now used for childminding.
Do I have to write a receipt out for each individual toy or can I put them all together as a start up cost. I reckon I've got a good few hundred pounds sitting in there.
Thanks again.

I would put it as one start up amount.

I bought some cars off my son for £5 and some dolls stuff off my daughter also for £5. I put these through my books.

Other things I have bought down when they are no longer using it and have not put these through. So will have to do this. My daughter had a Little Tikes Country Kitchen that she doesnt play with anymore and is in the play house. I will put that through.

Is everyone sure we can do this? If so I will make a start, but i can't see how we can make up our own prices, etc.

as long at the price you buy it back from isn't over the top them i'm sure no one will question it

If you werent childminding you would have sold them on Ebay or Carboot so imagine what you would have charged to sell them - obviously stuff we use for CM has got to be in a good state of repair so they would sell for a decent price.

My kids have 2 v-tech laptop type things. Lots of learning cassettes with them. Think I will buy them back to use with older mindees (7+) as daughter is now 14 and has a real one. They will want some cash though !!
