When a child is leaving what goes with them and what stays??

Hi ladies,
I have recently given a childs mother notice. I am a bit confused as to what the child takes with them and what stays with me, such as paperwork, observations and contracts etc.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Hi

Contracts, accident forms, medication forms and such like paperwork stays with you.

Diary's, Observations and childrens development files go with them......it is a nice record for the family to keep.

AND....now with EYFS you should some form of Development file to pass on to parent or to next carer.
