Hi everyone i observed a child this afternoon painting a fire engine for fire safety week i also took a photo to put in there scrap book with the completed work. I want to write up an observation but where do i start and what do i need to record?

Write down what they said and did for starters and how you suppported the activity.
PSED - delight in new experiences
CLL - begin to make marks for a purpose
KUW - show an interest in the world around them
PD - begin to realise that tools can be used for a purpose
CD - explore paint, experiment with marks, blocks and colour
Next steps - look in books/internet for pictures of fire engines
Make 3D junk model of fire engine
This is just off the top of my head, if I had my EYFS book to hand I could probably do it in a bit more detail
