Hi Sarah,

She has to list the aspects of employment covered by these areas of legislation:

Anti-discrimination provision
Working hours and entitlements to time off
Sickness absense & sick pay
Health & safety
Data Protection
Legislative framework in the sector

Any help would be much appreciated :)

Well the legislative framework is the Eyfs ...

Anti-discrimination provision - is this covered by the DDA literature here?

http://www.standards.dfes.gov.uk/eyfs/resources/downloads/p0000843.pdf

Also Equal opportuntiies requirements of Eyfs -

http://www.standards.dfes.gov.uk/eyfs/site/requirements/welfare/safeguarding/index.htm

Working hours and entitlements to time off / Sickness absense & sick pay

Not really relevant to childminders

Health & safety

The Eyfs makes it law to have risk assessments but does not say they must be written... just done...

Could she witter on about that?

Data Protection

Confidentiality rules in Eyfs...

Hopefully someone with more recent knowledge will be along soon :D

Thank you very much indeed Sarah

The problem I think is, it reads as if you are working in a private nursery and it's hard to know whether to answer as a childminder or someone who is working in a nursery, it doesn't explain anything at all.

You always answer as a childminder... and answer the question.

If something isn't relevant, say so.

Waffling on doesn't get extra credit, answering the question does! :D
