I am fed up with paperwork and folders everywhere so thinking about getting a filing cabinet.

It will have to go into my bedroom which has oak furniture, so a oak one would look better but are they strong enough or would metal be the best option?

I was wondering what any one else has, and are they worth it ?

Also where did you get yours from?

I don't live anywhere near Ikea!

Thanks

Angela

I have open shelving next to my computer for all my files...

The children's private stuff goes in a bureau I've had for years.

My boyfriend put a lock on it for me :D

Mine are kept in a large wicker basket but it doesn't have a lock on.

I have mine in several places - some in open shelves, some in the room where parents come in (things they will need regularly). Confidental stuff goes into individual files into one of those portable metal filing boxes which I put into a spare (ha ha that's funny) cupboard in the kitche.

I got one of those green metal ones from Freecycle, it's kept in the utility room. I wouldn't be without it.

There is so much paperwork now I had to get something to store it all in.
