Asking the parents and children (if age appropriate) their views on your setting, make up simple questionnaires that give room for comment rather than simple yes or no (although with children it may be more advisable:rolleyes: lol).

You can then state HOW you get information from parents - talking to them, noting comments and concerns, complaints and compliments files, regular questionnaires for feedback on your service etc.
Then you can say WHAT you do with this information - you deal with any issues in a a constructive manner, rectify issues as necessary, get new toys, etc
you then reguarly ask parents and children (ie on a 6 monthly basis) for feedback (but you would deal with complaints immediately according to your policy and recommended procedure)
You reflect and review your own service

Acting on comments ... can you think of a recent story showing how you encouraged a parent to make suggestions, you listened to what they had to say and you made relevant changest to the way you work.

It could be a story about changing your menu or altering your day to suit a child...

Hope this helps :D

Thank you this all sounds very scary. What age would be age appropraite for questionnaires do you think?

Welll..... you watch babies and little ones and note their responses, see if they are happy when they arrive etc...

Toddlers, you talk to through the day and ask them what they enjoy, whether they like the food, what kind of toys they want to see etc...

Once they get to school age, they can do simple smiley faces for likes and dislikes ... or maybe as part of an 'all about me' theme, asking what they want to do, where they like going etc...

Once writing and after schoolers, they can fill in simple questionaires :D
