Hi, im a little confused with the EYFS and BTTM. do we still do birth to 3 aswell as EYFS? for example i have a birth to 3 booklet with the childrens achievements in and i highlight the appropriate ones and date them when the child achieves the certain goal. do we still do that? Or has it totally changed?
Thanks x

EYFS has replaced the birth to three completely. You should now be working towards the EYFS (you will find some of the wording is similar).

Do you have the EYFS books - if so look a the Pracitce Guidance book and using the table (page 24 onwards) you will see that each aspect of Learning is categorised into age (birth - 11 months, 8 - 20 months etc). If you read the development matters section you will see how they are set out in a similar way to what the BTT was.

I hope this helps.

We don't highlight and date any more...

You need to be thinking in terms of a little anecdote to show how the area of learning and development has been achieved.

These are your observations - written notes, photos, children's drawings etc :D
