Who do have for emergency cover?

I dont know any other childminders in my area and have no one around to rely on for cover. Any suggestions?

Were you not given a 'buddy' when you registered. We arre here and I was going to use her but then discovered my lovely friend Sandra a few doors up so we are each others back up. Soemone will come on and tell you properly but if there isn't another childminder, I think you can use another adult but they might have to be 'vetted'?

I have another childminder if failing that I have a friend a couiple of doors up who would come over and arrange for the children to be collected.
she is a teacher/ admin for kcc so she is crb'd

I'm the same. Don't have anyone for backup (in the countryside) and the only neighbours i know would never pass the CRB! Just hope they find a buddy for me.
No other childminders pick up from our school. Very tiny, less than 50 kids.
