:clapping: .....and havn't finished.

I started a leaflet drop yesterday only did an hour dd was gettin restless in buggy. within 10 minutes of me gettin in the phone rang parent wanting before/afterschool and school holiday care for 9 year old daughter as her current chidminder is moving out of city. they came round last night and went well she starts 1st 0ctober.

question though.... parent has agreement with childminder for her 14 year old to collect her. i am happy to do this as they are all sensible, very well brought up girls and there is someone at home. anyway should i get mum to sign a permission form saying that she is happy for 9 year old to be collected by 14 year old just to cover myself.

Thanks.

(think i may of answered own question but just want to check as this is my first mindee.):clapping:

I would get mum to sign something to say it was fine for 14 year old to collect.

Gosh if it keeps going at that rate you'll be full before you know it.

Ask the mum for the name of the minder and get her number from the CIS register if mum is not happy to give it to you and give her a call and ask her to give your details to other parents on her books as I'm sure they will all be looking to find a replacement minder and/or as the mum to mention it to the minder.

did you get your leaflets printed up of did you just do them yourself. need to do something as i am getting no calls at all at the moment. i have cards in all the local shops. sign in the car, my other parents have put up cards in thier workplaces, keep onto the local vacancy co-ordinater and still nothing. were the leaflets expensive?

thanks:panic: :( :panic:

They were actually just business card type leaflets that i got of childminder resources site. they just had my name, and both contact numbers on them.
