Anyone got any ideas of what I can put in my floor plan for adapting room for disabled or SEN access ? I've got the dreaded NVQ folders out again - hooray for Fridays

Plenty of space to move around...

Low level activities...

Shelves with open access so children of all heights can get toys...

Chairs with arms for wobbly ones...

Ways of making thresholds easy to cross...

Non slip surfaces (no rugs)...

Anti dust mites & eczema / asthma friendly (wipable everything, no curtains)...

Uncluttered entrances & exits...

Stickers on glass for sight impaired at high & low level...

Smoke alarms that make sound & flash...

Have a look at www.inthepicture.org.uk - you might find some more info there.

Hope this helps! :D
