My friends cat was run over yesterday and her oldest 2 are distraught (3 & 5 years). So I found these websites might be useful for mindees/parents/children. One has a help line too.

Always so sad when a pet dies but children seem to accept it quite quickly. I have a great book called Goodbye Mog by Judith Kerr which talks through the death of a loved Cat and then the arrival of a new kitten.
