You need to fill in the boxes for your income before expenses, the box for expenses and then the box that asks for profit(income minus expenses) and obv all your personal details and info about your business

Hope this helps

This is the bit about the job i hate. As it was my first tax return they sent me the extended version for big companies. Apparently i will get the short version next year - thank god as it is a night mare.

As long as they have your total income, your expenses and then your profit (in the right boxes, they sent me a letter back saying that they had corrected mine for me as i put the wrong figures in the wrong boxes!!)

Sorry i cant be of more help

It's too important to get wrong... I always ring the experts and ask!

There are 2 returns available to you

1. If you earn under £15000 they will want your income and expenditure plus your personal details.

2. If you earn over £15000 you need the above plus expenses divided up.

All the boxes have a ? by the side of them with explanations of what they need.

Alternatively ring the help line and they will talk you through it.

That would be nice but I haven't heard of it. The specified number is always on the return though

I thought it had already gone up to 30k.

Will find out today as my tax return is on my to do list. Hope it has as I'm only over the 15k by about £600 so it'll be a pain having to file a long one for that

I am sure someone said on here it has gone up to £30,000. I hope so too as I am well over the 15,000
