I found out at my inspection that in your lost child policy you should state that if this happens you will always inform Ofsted afterwards as it's a major incident.

I didn't know this so thought I'd put it on here incase others weren't aware either. It's probably pretty obvious but I didn't realise!

Thanks Spangels, I have got that on mine. I always seem to think of ofsted when I am writing my policies, I think cos they scare me to death!

It's the same in Wales (except you have to contact CSSIW (iyswim)). We were told you also should have the contact details for CSSIW in the policy too (for parents).
