Feels really bad this year!
I'm losing a few to school - some will continue with wraparound/ holiday care but some won't be back ( one mum wants child to come back for wraparound in a year, but I'll see ( could have stayed with me if done full day at sch nursery, but mum preferred to do those on her 'days' not on her working days!??? )
I have 3 babies all ready to start in Sept - all current or past parents, but I can't get 2 organised to sign contracts and 3rd is faffing!

Also think I'm feeling it as DS left school to go to 6th form in Sept and today DD has gone away on residential trip!

Hope end of term goes smoothly for everyone xx

Ah lots of changes for you. I've got no movement this year after loosing 3 to school last September but they still all come for wrap around. I do resent the school benefitting from all my hard work when they get my early years children, especially the ones I've had since babies.

I feel for you, Loocyloo. Indecisive parents and faffers drive me nuts.

My situation has yet to sort itself out. On the bright side, I have one child starting school who’ll be with us for school runs. Mum is very organised and he's spent almost a year coming once a week, purely to be fully settled for school, which is nice. His main setting is a nursery, so I have minimal transition paperwork to do: just as well, since school ignore it anyway. That said, we’ve yet to see how the little chap will settle to school.

Still waiting to find out what’s happening over the siblings I have one a week before and after school. Mum is leaving work to study, and hasn’t decided on childcare.

I might get a sudden rush of new enquiries. There are four CMs in the village, and the most established one is considering giving up. She’s in the odd position of having a few mindees, but not enough to make it worthwhile. She only does schoolies, and quite a few are leaving: either moving to senior school or switching primary school. She either needs to recruit new clients or give up, meaning some parents will need a new CM.

I’m hoping the bullying problem (in year R, and still going on since September) might be alleviated by a change of class. We can but hope......

I’ve lost 2 older schoolers already. Got 2 going to reception but not staying with me. Not sorry to see 1 go, not because of the child but parent is so unbelievably unorganised. At Christmas I told them enough was enough as their chaotic lifestyle was making my life chaotic too. Now I stick to contracted days and nothing else. However the summer holiday arrangements with this family are fast becoming a joke with extra days and trying to swap so as to not pay extra. Roll on September. Don’t want to wish away this lovely summer but life will be so much calmer then

Same here - 4 going to secondary school and only 1 still having wrap around care (don't know how long for) 5 starting school and none continuing with me for various reasons , one family moving miles away so losing 2 siblings there. I never seem to have only 1 leaving it's always on mass! One definite to start in September and 2 in the pipeline ( just waiting for parents to confirm). So all change again like last September as had some start school then as well. Quite sad to lose some and some I can't wait!! (Is that really bad of me?)
