Confused over coc

Hi, if I interview a family for my last space, they want two days a week to start but going up to 3 at some point. I currently only have two day space available. How long do they need to be with me before the extra day would be considered COC? I am guessing if we sign contracts for 2 e.g. in June and they start in sept but then want 3 this would not be allowed.

There is no clear answer. All a grey area. You could say that as you know the extra day is needed, then you are already aware that you'd go over ratios, and therefore you should not take it on. But depends on the opinion of an inspector if it comes up as an issue.

When the child is settled in and it would be upsetting to move them ... that's what Ofsted are looking for pretty much :D
