Retention of records

I’m just reading some details about the GDPR and thinking about it I’m not sure how long I have to keep attendance records for. Would it be the same as the contract which is 21 yrs 3 mths

Personally I'd keep attendance with the contract in case of a query in the future. It's until the child reaches the age of 21+3, although with all these 'historic claims' I'm not sure how reliable even that would be :panic:

This is a very tricky subject and something we are working on with help from Pre-school Learning Alliance.

We don't have an answer yet - we are still waiting for final clarification :D

Thanks Sarah. I’ve actually got contracts in my records that I can now dispose of as my first minders are mid twenties with families of their own
