am i right in thinking ofsted only grant variations for existing children and their siblings? would they be likely to agree 2 under one for 2 mornings a week to allow a baby to start earlier? would be for max of 2.5 months?

I'd say that there would be no harm in asking.

Write a letter detailing how you would manage, ie, high chairs, travel cots, double buggies etc etc. What times they will both be there, days, dates & the childrens ages.

Also if this is for a child to start early explain that, & that the mum needs an answer for the variation by??

Good luck - if you don't try you'll never know :D

Hi I had a variation for two under one to offer continuity of care for two parents both of who had babies within three months of each other. I had one at four month and one at seven months.
I simply wrote the reason, that I had two of everything I needed and i felt my experience would allow me to cope.
It was hard work but harder when they were around 18 months!
If you stress continuity of care they are well up on it
good luck Paula:)
