Ahh appointment at 9am!

The mum and baby i have coming tomorrow are arriving at 9am now!! she phoned earlier and sounded really nice but asked if she could come earlier as she has offered to help out at a baby show.

Will have to get up very early to sort out house and get my two kids up and dressed!! hope it's worth it!!

quick question - she doean't want the care to start till mid Nov so when do you think is an appropriate time for me to ask her to let me know by?

Will you be asking for a deposit to secure the place?

Personally I would say I will hold the unsecured place open for 5/7 working days but if you get an enquiry you will let her know. After this period I would say that the space would be open. If she secures it by giving you a non-refundable deposit then its hers (pending signed contract and clearance of funds)

I always ask parents if they are seeing other childminders/nurseries - then ask them to let me know within 2 weeks but, like Pip, I will ring them if I get another enquiry.

she came and was absolutely lovely!!! she wanted to sign but as i can't offer her the place till lo turns one in nov she said she'd try to find someone else till then it did sound like she would swap him in nov to me but i guess i'll have to wait and see. i said i'd keep in contact with her if i get any enquiries.
