So today at 130 I have a parent visit with a baby.

However I'm really quite laid up and feel dreadful. Is it really unprofessional if me to contact number and leave it up to her if she still wants to visit.

Arggghhh I don't want mum to think I'm putting her off but I also don't want her to think I shouldn't have carried on with the visit as she is quite an anxious mum.

Why is nothing simple mum of the lo I have today is picking up earlier as well so I could get a couple of hours rest before school.

What would you do? I so look like an actor from the walking dead 😂😂

Personally, if I was still working, I would go ahead with the visit. I'd dose myself up, explain I was feeling grim and hope she didn't stop long.

But then I never take time off ill and carry on working even when I probably shouldn't.

I think I would make the mum aware of the situation and leave it in her hands, if she is an anxious mum she may want to avoid the germs, is it a young baby?

Hope you feel better soon. Just like Mouse, we keep going when sometimes we should put ourselves first instead of everyone else x

Same here.

In some way it might reassure mum that you won't just cancel a days care wilynily.

Hope you feel better soon. Hugs x

Well I messaged and said I was looking forward for her to visit but explained I was feeling a bit under the weather.
Well it turns out they are both too so we have rearranged for next week.

So now my lo is now fast asleep and being picked up in an hour and I'm under no pressure to rush around and can sit and chill lol xx

Well feeling better today. Message mum again today and she came for her visit today as they are feeling better too and all signed up settling in sessions start next week.

I must admit after being so quiet for so long it's nice to have signed a few children up x
