This is the latest guidance from Foundation Years about whether to use - or not use - socket covers -
A note from the Department for Education on the use of electrical plug socket covers/inserts in early years provision in England | From pregnancy to children aged 5 (http://www.foundationyears.org.uk/2016/10/dfe-note-on-the-use-of-electrical-plug-socket-coversinserts-in-early-years-provision-in-england/)
Ofsted stated some years ago that they would not judge us on the use or otherwise of socket covers but instead check that we keep children safe...
If you decide that you need to remove your socket covers as a result of this advice you can find factsheets for your risk assessment here -
