I'm after a book with lots of good first Nursery rhymes, does anyone have one they can recommend? Thank you :-)

Mmmm, can't think of one off the top of my head. I have had a few from the library over the years but for some reason I seem to have gone for books which have just one rhyme in them, eg Twinkle, Twinkle, Five Little Ducks etc. Pop to the library and see if there is one you like before buying. Our library has quite a big section on books for babies.

This is a good one.

Only issue I have is it has 'there was an old lady who lived in a shoe' a rhyme I hate but at least it hasn't got three blind mice which is in all the compilations of the books my own children had which are still on my bookshelf!
The cd is good too - to listen and sing along and turn the pages and the voice isn't too high and la de dah like others I have.
For learning the rhymes I agree with Maza, individual rhyming books interest mine, the constant repetition of a favourite means they learn the rhyme easily.

Thanks flora, this looks perfect! I've got another roger priddy book so know he's good too. And a cd too, that's brilliant, thank you so much. I'm logging onto Amazon now...

I love nursery rhymes on a cd - makes it a bit more entertaining for the children who like to bang along with musical instruments - helps me hold the tune a bit better too ;)
