This is really easy to answer - you just type your comments in and they are moderated and posted ...

The consultation wants to know what red tape is putting providers off and stopping new providers from coming into the profession.

It's worth a few minutes putting a reply on the website - https://cutting-red-tape.cabinetoffice.gov.uk/childcare/ :D

Thanks for sharing this link Sarah and also Smiley who originally posted it here.

Cms are leaving some very pertinent and brilliant comments for this survey.

It shows that many CMs continue to do 'too much' unnecessary paperwork and possibly 'just in case'...a lot is quite obvious here in this forum by what cms say they do in paperwork which is not required.

The DfE is really looking at cutting bureaucratic paperwork....I heard the DfE woman say this at a conference this week
...but there are also the LAs ...some of them are even worse at requesting various red tape and putting unnecessary conditions on Cms.

think ahead of the 30 hours
if the scheme becomes effective and you intend to take part as a CM.....just imagine what you will/may be required to do with so many providers 'working together' to deliver 30 hours for one child?

Just a few hints...will that child have various LJs?...will those parents have various contracts with each provider? will that child have different 'transfer summaries' for school? will the child and parents have different Terms and Conditions and policies? mixed messages? all possibly YES!

If unsure contact your EY team and ask for their input as they are all looking at this even if they are not the chosen ones for volunteering the scheme....lots going on behind the scenes.

If you attend OBC anywhere in the country do ask that question and also flag up that the EYFS needs an 'update'.
