I have a set of large squeezy bottle paints (baker Ross I think) which are great for older kids but does anyone on here use different paints for your younger mindees or is it really a case of paint is paint is paint?!!

I have these:

Crayola Beginnings Washable Finger Paints: Amazon.co.uk: Toys & Games (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Crayola-Beginnings-Washable-Finger-Paints/dp/B0002HNO2W/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1460722935&sr=8-3&keywords=toddlers+paint#productDetails)

And other Crayola and ELC paints that are recommended for 2+.

I RA when I use other paints as to the likely hood of an individual putting fingers in mouth before you can wash their hands etc...
I always choose washable paints designed for young children, though the blacks are a nuisance in this area!

And purple!

I tend to use the big bottles of paint with LOs - putting small amounts on a plate or in a paint daisy ( similar to these. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Artists-Plastic-Piece-Daisy-Palette/dp/B01AGIYMV8?ie=UTF8&keywords=daisy%20paint%20palette&qid=1460725964&ref_=sr_1_9&sr=8-9 )

sometimes we use watercolours, and I've got some great paint sticks (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Playcolor-Basic-Solid-Poster/dp/B005XM2B5C?ie=UTF8&keywords=paint%20sticks&qid=1460726050&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1)

or I've made 'edible' fingerpaint. Homemade Edible Finger Paint Recipe - The Imagination Tree (http://theimaginationtree.com/2011/03/homemade-edible-finger-paint-recipe.html)

Thanks loocyloo, I have those pant trays for my large squeezy paints, they're great aren't they.

Those other paints look good, I'll check them out...

Thank you :-) x

I'm really mean and hardly ever get paint out, I don't like tidying up afterwards! I have these paint dabbers which I love, they dry super quick too http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B003LVYNBC/ref=mp_s_a_1_19?qid=1460998468&sr=8-19-spons&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=paint+dabber&psc=1

The ones I wouldn't recommend are the Tesco's purple and pink! I stupidly didn't check the labels and got excited seeing the colours (having got the primary colours already and having lots of girls who always want to mix them to make pink & purple but they never quite turn out right ) and they stain something awful! Admitedly the labels did say 'may stain'... yeah they really DO stain!

Adding a small amount of washing up liquid usually helps to make paints stain less.
